Crossed Out

Jesus is the Lamb that came to take away the sins of the world! This is a bold declaration that had, over a thousand years, been building from the saving lamb’s blood on doorposts in Exodus, to the substitutionary sacrifice of Isaac’s ram, and the sacrificial system in Leviticus summarized in Leviticus 17:11. Then comes the Lamb of God who spends 33 years on his earth walking toward the cross. Intentionally laying down his life, providing the final blood sacrifice for all. The significance of the cross is found in the blood of the Savior! What was a symbol of death become a declaration of love.
