Hope Christian Church Worship
It’s not that hard to dread Christmas. Things that take place in our past, difficult times that you are wrestling with now, shortage of funds, relationships that aren’t where you hoped and joy that seems so elusive. You’re right, nothing is good, merry, delightful or worthy of celebrating unless you decide to make the effort. Some people say that doing this makes you fake but I believe it is deciding to move in the best direction even if I don’t feel like it. You make yourself go to that event or party, drive around to see the lights, play Christmas music, decorate your space (it’s not too late), begin wishing people ‘Merry Christmas’ (this can be uplifting and entertaining) and maybe look for someone else who looks like this season is hard and wrap them up a gift and deliver it personally. Fight to find the joy that is for the whole world. Take a hold of the opportunities God brings to you and it will begin to brighten your own heart! Wish Someone a Merry Christmas every day this week!
