There is a mixture of realities that are associated with doctors. I mean, we begin with our youngest and schedule ‘well baby’ checkups. On these occasions, you schedule an appointment to confirm that everything is heading in the right direction. These types of appointments often continue to some degree throughout your lifetime. Although, you usually transition to more of an ‘illness base’ visits somewhere during early adulthood. It’s at this time that our doctor’s appointments are centered around some illness or issue that we are experiencing. Jesus emphasizing this truth, that it is those who realize they are sick or that something isn’t right who seek a doctor, not those who are well. Do you go to Jesus for a check up or do you realize you need to check-in?
